Mutual Induction

A second method of creating changing magnetic fields linked with a coil is to replace a permanent magnet with an electromagnet.

The magnetic field is maintained by switching the current on and off.

MUTUAL INDUCTION is defined as the changing electric current produces a changing magnetic field which can produce a changing current in another conductor.
